3/05/2010 - In the most northerly country in the continent of Africa, Tunis, a city steeped in history, is the home for the Tunisia Junior & Cadet Open to be staged from Thursday to Sunday April 29 – May 2, 2010.

It is the second of two ITTF Global Junior Circuits tournaments to be staged in Africa this year, the first having been in Egypt in February.

At the moment there is a growing number of talented players in Africa with Tunisia’s Adem Hmam being one on whom many eyes have been focused in recent years. Now a player of experience, he made his mark on the international scene at the ITTF Cadet Challenge in Santo Domingo in 2005.

Situated on the banks of the Mediterranean, Tunisia is easily accessible from Europe and western Asia as well as from much of Africa.

The tournament presents an ideal opportunity for young players from those parts of the world to test their skills.
