ACUI Region 8 Table Tennis Summary

For Table Tennis, we had 15 men registered (10 of them for doubles as well as singles) and 4 women for singles. Linda Leaf, the Upper Midwest Region Director of the National Table Tennis Association was kind enough to moderate all of the table tennis event for us.
Schools represented here were Indiana Institute of Technology, Northwestern University, University of Chicago, University of Illinois-Chicago, and Gevernors State University. In the women's singles, Cheramie Chung from University of Chicago took 2nd and Fei Dong from University of Illinois-Chicago took first.
We had a potential superstar in our midst... Joey Cochran, Olympic hopeful from Indiana Institute of Technology. For the men's singles, 3rd and 4th were: Tsun Wah Peter Dong and Daniel Wilhelm, both from University of Chicago. They did not have a playoff between 3rd and 4th so we will have to determine that soon. 2nd place was Gordon Cochran - Indiana Tech and in 1st, his brother and olympic hopeful, Joey Cochran-Indian Tech.
