ITTF Junior Circuit: Ecuador Junior Open

Swedes Pose Problems
At the semi-final stage of the Boys' Team event a three-one success was the order of the day against Sweden with Simon Linderoth giving the Swedes the perfect start by beating Thomas Le Breton.
However, that was there only success. Victorien Le Guen defeated both Jesper Bergland and Simon Linderoth with the doubles going the way of France to secure victory.
Close for Ecuador
A three-one semi-final victory for France but for Ecuador it was a much closer call. They beat South American compatriots, Venezuela, by three matches to two with Alberto Miņo accounting for Gustavo Ascasco and Danilo Barreto while with the match scores level, Dino Suarez secured victory with success over Gustavo Ascasco.
The Venezuelan wins came from Danilo Barreto against Dino Suarez in the doubles.
Visitors in Control
A semi-final success for Ecuador but in the final French class told. A three-nil victory for the visitors was the end result with Thomas Le Breton defeating Dino Suarez and Victorien Le Guen overcoming Alberto Miņo.
Matters came to an end with a French doubles win.
Impressive
Similarly in the Girls' Team competition, the French impressed but when faced with Ecuador `A' in the semi-finals they did meet resistance from the host team. Ecuador's Michelle Vitteri lost to Aurore Dessaint by the narrowest of five game margins; Tania Almendariz extended Laura Perocheau to four games before the Ecuadorians clinched the doubles.
The contest came to a conclusion with Aurore Dessaint accounting for Tania Almendariz to secure a place in the final for France.
Perfect Start
A hard fought win while in the counterpart semi-final Dora Madarasz gave Hungary the perfect start by beating Josefin Lund in five games, Krisztina Ambrus then recorded a straight games win over Caroline Andersson before the doubles ended matters in Hungary's favour.
An impressive performance by Hungary at the penultimate stage and in the final both teams were impressive.
Excellent Final
Krisztina Ambrus gave Hungary and excellent start by overcoming Laura Perocheau, Aurore Dessaint levelled with victory over Dora Madarsz, the vital doubles went in five games to Hungary before the outstanding Aurore Dessaint returned to level the match score.
The title therefore rested on the shoulders of Dora Madarasz and Laura Perocheau with the former successful in three straight games and gold being in he hands of Hungary.
Cadet Titles for Ecuador
Success for France and Hungary and there was also success for Sweden and Ecuador.
Sebastian Sanchez and Ismael Pesantez of Ecuador `A' won the Cadet Boys' Singles crown finishing ahead of Argentina's Adriel di Salvo and Juan Daher, while in the counterpart girls event Ecuador `A', represented by Astrid Salazar and Daniela Andrade, finished in first place ahead of the Ecuador `B' trio of Nina Espinosa, Daniela Chinizaca and Samanta Revelo.
Mini-Cadet Team Event
Meanwhile, in the Mini-Cadet Boys' Team competition gold went to the Swedes Kevin Siu and Jonas Stener with Ian Aulestia and Pablo Vanegas second; while in the Mini Cadet Girls' Team event the Ecuadorian duo of Sandra Duranzo and Monica Ulloa finished in first place with their compatriots Daniela Camino and Denisse Cordova second.
